About Dillan
I was born in Monmouth, Illinois, and grew up in Stronghurst, where I attended West Central High School. After graduating, I began my career as a railroad engineer. It was at West Central where I met my wife, Alyssa, and we got married in 2012. While Alyssa pursued nursing at Southeastern Community College, I became active in union efforts, serving as the state legislative director for the United Transportation Union (UTU) for four years.
Today, Alyssa and I live in West Central Illinois, raising our two sons and staying close to family. Together, we started Dame Fine Coffee and have grown it to six locations across southeast Iowa and central Illinois. I also founded D&D Specialty Distribution with my brother, which delivers high-quality supplies to 40 locally owned coffee shops in the district.
Community involvement has always been a priority for me. I’ve spent four years serving as vice president of the West Central Board of Education, working to ensure quality opportunities for students. I also serve as a board member for the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce and EagleView Community Health Clinics. Helping others and creating opportunities for young people in our community has always been my passion.
Now, I’m ready to bring that same dedication to a larger stage. I’m asking for your support in 2026 as I run to represent Illinois’ 17th Congressional District. Together, we can create a brighter future for our families and communities.
